Welcome to the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association.
The Association was formed in 1944 just before the Normandy jump. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter was chartered in 1985 and includes Paratroopers and Glidermen from WWII to present.

CHAPTER ACTIVITIES
We also participate in the National Convention annually in August. Our activities include monthly meetings, Color Guards, Veterans Support, Active Duty interface and support, JROTC events and social events throughout the year.

THE 82ND AIRBORNE DIVISION
The 82nd Airborne Division is the most strategically mobile formation and the most highly trained infantry division in the world.
The Division was first constituted on 5 August 1917 during World War I and formally activated on 25 August 1917 at Cap Gordon, Georgia.
Major General Eben Swift, the Commanding General, won a contest to nickname the division "All American".

Bob Sandri is a Gold Star Father and honorary member of the chapter.

Ray Wallace served during WWII with the 507th PIR and made the jump into Normandy.

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA CHAPTER
The 82nd Airborne Division Association is for anyone who ever served in the 82nd Airborne Division, and anyone who is currently serving on active duty on jump status; or, has ever served in any of the uniformed services on either jump or glider status and was honorably discharged. The Association was organized in England, prior to the Normandy invasion (1944). We have members who have served with the 11th, 13th, 17th, 82nd, 101st Airborne Divisions; 187th, 503rd, 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Teams; 173rd Airborne Brigade (Separate) as well as troopers from Special Forces, Airborne Rangers, Marine Corps Recon, Navy SEALS, and Air Force Special Tactics personnel.
